black clouds are behind me, i now can see ahead. often i wonder why i try hoping for an end. sorrow weighs my shoulders down, and trouble haunts my mind. but i know the present will not last, and tomorrow will be kinder.Zombies, food shortages, zombies, guns, zombies, oh, and zombies. The last few weeks in the City of Angels weren't pleasant, and as things began to get worse, an evacuation project was set up. Every anthromorphic and humanoid alike was loaded into a bus and driven to Shades Run, Colorado, where things were safe and where the former citizens of the City of Angels could begin life anew. Tomorrow would be kinder. And for the most part, it has been. New jobs can easily be found and housing is being offered until the former citizens can raise enough money to rent out an apartment. Shades Run is a kind place, founded by the same men who founded the City of Angels. Quaint and simple, the small town is a good alternative to their old Midwestern home. Maybe we could get used to this, yeah? Everything seems fairly calm here.. but i feel warmth on my skin, the stars have all aligned the wind has blown but now i know that tomorrow will be kinder

There are thieves, who rob us blind, and kings, who kill us fine, but steady, the rights and the wrongs invade us, as innocent song.
[logs will be posted of the ball rp, but it will be the only group rp i manage for this plot. - prawx ]
As evening falls over Shades Run, anthropomorphics and humans alike find themselves invited to a prestigious ball on the west side of town. Set up for both the former residents of the City of Angels and the wealthy, the ball stands as a fundraiser for the ruins of the city some here once called home. Wayne Manor is a beautiful place for a ball, and wonderfully catered, too. Whoever Wayne is certainly has a lot to spend.
All seems to go smoothly. The string quartet is skilled with their violins and cellos, the dancing is elegant even if a few of us are tripping over our own feet. But, of course, nothing ever stays quiet in Shades Run for long.
As the night goes on and the clock rings with the hour, one finds that their mood begins to.. Suddenly change? Their sense of morality has become heightened, their urge for justice or malice suddenly brightening as the night's hour wears on..
Little do the people of Shades Run know, a spell has been cast over the little town. One finds themselves either becoming villainous or heroic, and those that lie in between are rare, if not non-existent entirely. Not only that, but it seems as if each hero, villain, and neutral has their own aura that marks them either 'hero', 'villain', or 'neutral'. While heroes and villains are bound to fight, neutrals had best stay hidden, for nor heroes nor villains have much love for these inbetweeners.
What's worse is that villainous tendencies tend to get stronger and stronger as one ventures closer to Wayne Manor. Should one wander inside, there is no telling what they'll find...
[If you're going to/want to RP your character going inside Wayne Manor to investigate, let me (Prawx) know. Original villains, it would be fantastic if you could help me with this^]
The time has come, let us be brave... Shake off all of your sins, the time has come, let us be brave, let us be brave.
